This notice explains what personal data Power Action Limited collects through poweraction.co.uk, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We process personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Power Action Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI026904, at Unit 205–209 Leo Enterprise Crescent, Lisburn, County Antrim, BT28 2BP. What we collect and why

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send, special category data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.
How your enquiry reaches us
The enquiry form submits directly to our own server. That server checks the submission, sends an alert to our team by email, and where our enquiry database is in use also stores a record of it. The form does not open your own email application, and it does not send your details anywhere else. If the submission fails for any reason, the page tells you so and offers our email address and telephone number so you can reach us directly. Either way the information goes only to Power Action.
Your designs and technical files
We treat commercially sensitive material as confidential. We will put an NDA in place before you share a BOM, Gerbers, schematics or other design files, and we will agree a secure transfer method with you rather than asking you to attach them to a web form.
Cookies, storage and analytics
This website sets no cookies at all. Not for advertising, not for analytics, not for anything else. It stores two small functional values in your browser: whether you have dismissed the floating enquiry prompt, and whether the homepage introduction has already played during this visit. Neither contains an identifier, neither leaves your device, and the second is discarded when you close the tab.
Where we use website analytics, currently PostHog on its European Union hosting, it is configured to store nothing whatsoever on your device: no cookies and no local storage. It records anonymous page views and interactions for the duration of your visit so we can see which pages are useful. It cannot recognise you when you come back, and it cannot follow you to other websites. If we run Plausible alongside or instead of it, that is cookieless by design and aggregates data in the European Union on the same basis. This is why you are not shown a cookie consent banner: we set nothing that requires your consent.
Setting nothing on your device is not the same as processing nothing about you, and we do not want to blur the two. The request itself carries your IP address, which is personal data, so analytics runs on the basis of our legitimate interests and you have an absolute right to object to it. There is a switch for that below.
We do not use session recording, so your keystrokes and anything you type into a form on this site are never captured by analytics.
Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. Making that request tells Google your IP address and which page you are viewing, in the same way as loading any image or script from another website. We set no Google cookies, and Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles, but the request is a transfer to a third party and you are entitled to know about it.
Your right to object to analytics
Because our analytics sets nothing on your device, it runs on the basis of our legitimate interests rather than your consent. Article 21 of the UK GDPR gives you an absolute right to object to processing on that basis, and for something as ordinary as counting page views we would never claim grounds to override you.
Use the switch below. Your choice is remembered in this browser and applies from the next page you load. With analytics off, our analytics provider is not contacted from your browser at all, which means it never receives your IP address.

We also honour the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. If your browser or an extension sends either of them, analytics stays off automatically and you do not need to touch anything here.
Who else sees your data
We keep the number of third parties to a minimum. Depending on the services in use, your enquiry may be handled by our website and server hosting provider, our transactional email provider, and the internal team messaging tool we use to alert staff to a new enquiry. Our analytics provider receives anonymous usage data as described above, but never the contents of a form. Each of these acts as our processor under contract and may only use the data to provide the service to us. We do not share your enquiry with anyone else, and we never sell it.
We will name any of these providers on request. If you would rather discuss a project without submitting anything through this website, telephone or email us and no processor of ours is involved at all.
Where your data is held
We store personal data in the UK or the European Economic Area wherever possible, and our analytics is configured to keep its data in the European Union. Some of our providers are based outside those areas or may process data there. Where that happens we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. Where we go on to do business together, we keep the related records for as long as needed to perform the contract and to meet our legal, tax and product traceability obligations, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format where that right applies; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date shown at the top of it.
