Experience
It would seem logical that to be able to give guidance, one must first spend many years learning, practicing
(making mistakes!) and developing the knowledge that one hopes will make the listener's life just that little bit easer.
Having spent the last 10+ years 'practicing' on over 3 million electronic assemblies, the field of electronic
manufacture still continues to present us with further component variations, PCB substrates,
and of course solder finishes!
So it is therefore, in the spirit of partnership, which is how we insist on developing our business,
that our experience in placed at your full disposal.
Design for Manufacture
With the reduction in vendor packaging options, many design engineers have been forced into a relationship with
BGA and micro BGA devices which is not one of choice.
From design concept it is imperative that correct layout for BGA and fine pitch devices are utilised. Poor thermal
distribution, component clearances, orientation and component positioning can make prototyping, rework and fault diagnosis
a nightmare.
More than ever before the need to be competitive has landed right on our doorstep. With poorly designed systems heavy
on labour content and low on automation we cannot be!
What we can do is to combine our engineering experience at the design stage, with advanced assembly equipment, thus giving YOU full advantage
and enabling you to compete globally with all the benefits of local supply, flexibility, fast response and globally competitive pricing.
Rohs / Lead free compliance
As June 2006 has now been and gone Rohs / Lead free compliance is now with us. Having worked through the process with
a number of our customers, we are able to assist with BOM conversion and component validation to assist those
for whom the process is not yet completed.
It is important to remember that under our terms of business, we manufacture using only components specified
on the approved BOM supplied by our customers. While our Rohs / Lead free processes have been validated it is important
that customers realise that the responsibility for specifying compliant components rests with the customer.
